Recently I have had trouble lowering the main table to it's lowest setting (just before the table meets with the top of the headstock). The carriage assembly lock is totally loosened but the table resists to smoothly lower all the way. The lower blade guard is closed as far as it will go next to the saw blade so it is not in the way (that has happened to me before--lesson learned). I have checked the teeth on the main table and they seem to be relatively clean and none broken.
Anyone have an idea why this is happening or something I didn't check?

Waxed the tubes lately? Cleaned the crud out of the tube bores in the carriage? Checked the pinion gears?rdewinter wrote:Recently I have had trouble lowering the main table to it's lowest setting (just before the table meets with the top of the headstock).
