2011 toy drive

Post by wa2crk »

Hi gang
Just thought that I would catch all of you up on our Toys for Tots drive for this year. This year we (The Plantation Woodworkers) enlisted the help of some of the other crafters in our community to show some of their skills.
We got help from the Bear Club which donated some of the stuffed bears that they make for the children's wards in local hospitals. The Art Guild painted the themes on the sides of the cradles and my next door neighbor hand knitted the blankets that will be included with each of the toys. I promised to keep my neighbor's age a secret (she somewhere between 93 and 95 years). so I did not tell anyone.

Way to go, Bill! The Plantation Woodworkers have gotten the word! It's what you do for others that really counts!

Congratulations to the woodworkers and the other craftsfolks.
