5/32 T-Handle Allen w/ PC Dovetail Jig

Post by notlem »

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my new Porter Cable Dovetail Jig to find this nice 5/32 T-Handle Allen wrench included; it fits the Shopsmith perfectly. I have the long L-shaped one that came with my SS. This has a nicer feel and should be easier to find if I absentmindedly set down it somewhere. Being about 6" long, it will even fit in my nail apron. I imagine it will be long enough for most operations.

Nice tool. After I broke both of the 90 degree Shopsmith allens for my Shopsmith 20 years ago, I bought 2 of Shipsmith's T handle ones. I like them so much better.

I like the T handle allen wrench that came with my Shopsmith that I purchased an entire set of them on Amazon.com. The drawer full of L shaped allen wrench goes largely unused. Fjimp

Back in the day Shopsmith Demo'ers would pass these out to any Shopsmith owner that supported him at a Demo. I bought my SS from a demo'er and he gave me a couple. All I have ever used.
This one is my spare. The plastic is oxidized because I had it in storage and not used. Once I get it out the plastic will become shiney again.
