I wonder why they didn't use the same paint we do? Then they could have the hammered finish still.

I wondered that too but I do think that it is cool that they are recognizing the fact that many might like to keep their colors.

I wonder if the paint department knows that to make hammered paint in a HVLP sprayer all you do is add a little acetone to the paint and mix it up.

I am certain that Shopsmith has nothing to do with that process. They spec'd the paint and some paint manufacturer prepares it for sale.

I wonder if the paint is a Rustoleum product. I doubt it.

I'll stick to the Rustoleum hammer-tone at $4.00 a can, but as has been said previously, I like the fact that they are vintage-conscious!
