25$ hoosier top find/restore

Post by mustangpalmer1911 »

Found this oak hoosier top the places where the paint is chipped off it you can see beautiful oak. I started striping the paint off today to bring this beauty back to like. Our cooking prep are is a old farm table with a heavy oak cutting board top laid on it. I plan on placing this on the back side of that for more storage ect.

Isn't it a felony to paint hardwood? It should be. People who paint hardwood should be forced to drink their paint.
Good luck undoing the damage. The finished product will be worth it.

I've used this for 30 years and it is good stuff for removing multiple layers of finish & not hurting the wood. I did a dumpster found veneered oak & mahogany dresser that had 7 layers of paint on it in one application.
