Pine lumber, cut from trees on his land. He had a guy saw the logs into lumber. Should be a pretty good start on building my workshop.

Those stickers look like 4X4s to me.
One of my ex-neighbors back in the 80s did that (runners) to avoid paying extra taxes.heathicus wrote:Yeah, the 4x4s under the bottom layer are treated.
There is a mix of 1x4, 1x6, 2x4 and 2x6 with a couple of 1x9's thrown in. I took an inventory and this is what I counted:
1"x4"x9' = 2
1"x4"x12' = 40
1"x6"x9' = 29
1"x6"x12' = 12
1"x6"x16' = 15
1"x9"x12' = 3
1"x9"x16' = 2
2"x4"x12' = 16
2"x4"x16' = 22
2"x6"x12' = 22
2"x6"x16' = 22
I'm going to build my workshop "portable building" style, 12'x24', on runners, so we can move it in the future. A "shed" style roof (single slant) so in the future I can build on another 12'x24', doubling the size, and have a gable roof.
I get two weeks off work for Christmas and hope to get it built during that time.
