Oliver 167 lathe?
I found a 1960 oliver 167 for sale localy and was woundering if anyone has any thoughts or experance with one? I would use it mostly for bowl turning.
Mustang;
Check with the old woodworking tools website and you may get some answers.
Oliver equipment was always good stuff but was made generally of cast iron and is VERY heavy which is good in a lathe.
The website is now called vintage machinery and the photo has a lot of pix of Oliver lathes and some good info.

All of the "old" Oliver stuff I have seen at auctions was 3 phase. I have no idea about more recent stuff.
