After many frustrating trial and error methods, I took the advice of a couple of you and tried drilling pen blanks with my new Nova Chuck and drill bit mounted on the tail stock.
Couldn't be more pleased ! Worked perfectly !
As always, thanks to all of you out there for your valuable advice.

Tom,
What part of St Louis are you in ? We live in St Robert (Ft. Leonard Wood) during the week, but have a small place in Creve Coeur where we spend the weekends. Are there many other SS enthusiasts in town ? I have followed your threads on the forum for a couple of years and have learned to appreciate and value your advice. Thanks.

Bob, I live in Maryland Heights, between dePaul hospital and Dorsett Rds. I know of one other member in our area, lives in the Des Peres area. I'll let him identify himself if he wants to.

We are in Maryland Heights almost every weekend. Either stopping by Woodcraft or going to Creve Coeur Lake. Really enjoy our time in the area. My son begins high school next year. We've made the family decision that he and my wife will be living in Creve Coeur during the week so that he can attend Parkway North. Once that begins, my trips to St. Louis will probably become less, as they will want to drive back to Ft. Leonard Wood on the weekends.
