I am not a hoarder, but I did it again. This time it's a Mark V

I SWEAR I am not a hoarder. It's like this: I was shopping for a bandsaw to adapt to my 10ER. You know how much they cost. I came across this complete Mark V with bandsaw, jointer, and tons of other stuff for $200 locally. What would you do?

It will take some time to exhaust the possibilities of all these toys:

The only thing that is missing is the power coupling, and the PO is searching through his shop to see if he can find it. The PO is an awesome guy--inherited this machine from his dad along with the family signmaking business, and it has been kicking around his shop since his dad passed away ten years ago. He absolutely knew he could get more for it, but he just wanted it to go to a good home. He was also offering a very nice Delta tablesaw for $100, but I've been spending money like water lately and had to put a brake on it somewhere.

You did good. The bandsaw and the saw blade armors cover the $200. Every thing else is gravy.

Protect the saw blades and then do an inventory, a major cleanup and lub job.

At that point it is time for alignment.

Then sawdust.

Hey, I see a face-plate in there. None of the 25+ units I bought on my buying spree a couple of years ago came with a face-plate, large or small. You would have thought that there would have been several but there were none at all. Yet today I only have the one small one and the one big one that I bought with my 510 that I bought new in 1988.
There were all manner of other items with them, just no face-plates.

That reminds me: In your picture of your blade alignment method (different thread) I saw a really cool blade rack in the background. Looked like it held the blades with arbors attached. Is that something you designed? If you get a chance to take a picture just of the rack, I'd like to see it.
