New Stacking Featherboards Promise Superior Workpiece Control

Post by reible »

Fresh in my inbox today.

Got me thinking to this post:

https://forum.shopsmith.com/viewtopic.php?t=2717

Now I'm wondering if anyone ever built some of the jigs I showed in that post?

If so how did you like them?

Ed, I can't claim to have used your specific ideas as presented. Yet Yes I have built and used several variables of your ideas. They work and give me a secure feeling of safety every time used. My son is convinced the old man is an accident looking for a place to happen, thus I enjoy when he is here setting up what he views as complicated safety measures. Thanks Ed for continuously challanging us and Shopsmith with great ideas. Fjimp

Ed, I have not yet purchased additional feather boards so that I can build permanent versions BUT I have restacked featherboards using your concepts.

Personally, I think Shopsmith owes you at least "honerable mention" for your idea. There is no doubt in my mind that they captured this thought from one of your posts.

I just wish they would get busy and plagiarize my out feed table so that more people could have one.
