Fine Woodworking Magazine Archive '75-"11"

Post by ryanbp01 »

I finally broke down and ordered the latest edition of 1975-2011. All I can say is WOW!! This is well worth the money. The article and search feature is extremely easy to use. This will download into your hard drive from the DVD. You will need 3.8 GB of space to download onto your hard drive. The only drawback is there was a duplicate of issue #8 which will be corrected via e-mail.

This is one really oustanding resource that every woodworker should have in their library. The really neat thing is there are 223 issues which are readily available. It is compatible with Windows 7, XP, and Vista. It can't be loaded onto any e-readers. Articles are easy to read. Every issue is in digital form, right down to the ads. This is a great way to store issues you would otherwise not have room for.

I have many years' worth of this excellent magazine, both from a subscription and from a local garage sale. But they take up a lot of space. Having searchable digital versions would be great. Thanks for the post.

Here is a link but I am not sure if that was the original deal. Currently $99 with free shipping.

Update

Post by ryanbp01 »

It seemsthere has been a glitch in production of th original series. Seems pages were inadvertantly cut off. Anyway, a new archive is going to be sent to purchasers in a few days. Here's the thing: the company caught it and realized the mistake before anyone contacted them. Kudos to their staff for catching it and making things right!
