Hi Everyone
I bought my Mark V 500 in March 1993 as a demo from the show... I figured I better get it before I got married in April of same year. She got a wedding, I got a ShopSmith! Anyhow - In the beginning I have used it to make pens and a bunch of little projects and shadow boxes and etc... Lately I have been using it primarily for home repairs.
I decided I would start up my hobby again since I needed something to relieve stress. The only bad part I can see now is how expensive wood is - especially when you live in AZ. Yes, I live close to a major wood seller...but I am trying to recycle and watch CL wherever possible. I found an corner tv stand on Christmas that after about 6 hours of work netted just over 13 board ft of white oak. Score!
Anyway - here is a midway through shot of my first project coming back. This is a turned table lamp with a celtic knot in it (I hope anyway!)
Thanks for the chance to ramble on and on... Appreciate any comments!
