Wow, I remembered this discussion and noticed this morning that I've broken 500 and didn't even notice when it happened. Not that I'll ever catch up with Red, but I'm pretty amazed you guys have managed to suck me into this forum that deep!!! :D
I don't think I've got 100 posts total in all the other forums I've joined combined!

Hermit of the Hills Woodworks, a hillbilly in the foothills of the Ozarks, scraping by.

I don't think that we sucked you in. We have just put together here a great group of guys and gals who are willing to share our information and opinions with anyone who will stick around and listen. It gets really worthwhile when one participates - that is provides input as well.

This forum does tend to be more about the machine than about the product that comes off that machine but that is apparently why we are here.

This is not to say that there is no woodworking talent displayed here because there certainly is. We just seem more anxious to talk about the gear than the wood products.

Maybe, just maybe I am only talking about myself.:rolleyes:

There is also much here that educates us all in how to use these products and how to keep them running.

I think it is the unselfish attitude of sharing whatever knowledge each member has that attracts others.

When ya need to fix/repair something on the SS, It goes much faster then building something.:D
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders,molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

JPG, just re-read this thread and post regarding your wife. So sorry for your situation and I know exactly how you are doing. My wife has MS, totally dependent on me. Enjoy every moment I get away, not because I don't like spending time with her, but it is mostly work that I don't enjoy. Making sawdust is what I enjoy. So, I put the house phone close to her so she can reach it with her wheelchair. I wear a cell phone and if she needs me for any reason, she calls. That may be one way to help you and your wife. Again, both you and your wife are in my prayers.
