Like JPG said PDG. I don't know how long you have been out of wood working, but it looks like you did not forget anything. I have tried the celtic knot, but have not mastered it yet.
Looks good to me. I just wanna know where I can find the plans (an issue of Wood maybe?) and if you made the coasters as well (and where those plans might be.)??

Hi there
I have the plans for the lamp shaft and base without the knot... They are free plans avail online...so I know of no reason I can't email them to you or post them on here. As far as theplan for the celtic knot...that was in an old wood article. I have images of that article that I can post here.... Is that allowed, legal, and all that jazz?
Basically I took lamp plans that i liked and resized them to work with the knot...and voila.
Regarding the plans for the coasters...I'm sorry those are proprietary and I would be happy to sell anyone the plans for $49.95 or trade them for some nice hardwoods...ROFLMAO! Im totally kidding...there were no plans for these....they were sort of a "what can I make out of this" experience.... if you want dims or have questions i would be happy to help.
There are plans and tutorials for making Celtic knots at penturners.org look in the library section there are a few. While these are targeted at pen size cylinders, I see no reason they won't scale to larger turnings.
