Try these directions. I make patterns all the time using them. They usually print out on more pages than I feel is necessary but I just align and tape them together.
Thans for the link, Mark.

I did a tutorial on how to print to scale in Sketchup a while back. You can find it here. Hope this helps.

Thanks,
I will try it, everything I want to prints fits on one sheet of paper so the extra complexity of piecing together multiple sheets isn't needed.

Yes it was a train. Went to install on Saturday. The slack A$$ contractor had not done his job and I could only install the upper cabinets. This is going to throw me even farther behind on other projects.

Oh well on the brighter side!!:)

This simple jig (2 pieces of plywood nailed together) that I built last week to hold some pieces while cutting the biscuit slots has already come in handy for a few more projects. It is perfect for holding these skirt boards while I file the edges. A lot better than a helper and it does not talk back.:D

Nothing. It works well that way and saves one inch of lumber on every piece cut.

Just remember that it starts at one

Not a single thing, if you like cloth rulers with the first inch missing. If you use it - don't forget to add an inch to the measurement.

Actually it is a ruler that I modified to measure my doors. Most of the doors that I build are 1/2" over lay. I cut it off and reattached the brass end and by loosing the first inch I never have to worry about did I or didn't I add for the over lay.

Of course I like to loan it to people just to screw with them.:D

One of the projects this week is to build a wooden bar top. I actually built this top last month for a contractor. He called a few days after I delivered it to his office and said that I needed to build another one. Of course I panicked. When I ask what was wrong he told me that he had made the template wrong. I felt better after my stomach returned to its normal position. You know not in my throat! I think I will make him pay for that panic attack. :D Of course he made this template as well.

First I glued the template together and then cut it at the miters.

I think the 'second' one should cost twice as much as the 'first' one! Seems fair and logical to me!:D
