We have an electric 3 wheel golf cart that we use "extensively" on the farm. It has a small aluminum and plastic (about like a drop-in truck bed liner material) dump bed on it. We use it for checking, repairing and building the many miles of electric fences we use for all of the horses and a herd of other uses. It has tractor type tires on it now and will go about anyplace. I have been wanting to build it a new wood bed that mounts down low on the cart and where the front of the bed is the support for the seat backs. The original seat back post are kind of flimsy aluminum post. For our use the bed does not need to dump. I also want it a tiny bit bigger.
Today we got to talking about maybe making an enclosed bed for it where I can attach containers to the walls to hold (and keep separate) the many kinds of insulators and supplies I use as well as wire, poly wire and equi-rope. I also haul a batch of hand tools.
My first thoughts jumped to Humphrey Pennyworth's vehicle that looked like an outhouse on a tricycle. You can google (image search) "Humphrey Pennyworth" if you are too young.
First thing you know we were talking about the old antique delivery trucks with the curved roof over the driver. We are thinking about a modified version of something like this... At least this general style:

This one is of course an over-sized toy but you can see the general shape and style. Mine would be about 4' wide and the bed part about 4' long. We also want the windshield. Where this one says "Bakery" we would put a large horse head decal.
I will need to keep it extremely light. Something like this is about my favorite kind of woodworking.
I also have either a sleigh or a bob-sled (or both) as well as a buckboard on my project list.
Our very young Belgian draft horse is just the right age to go visit a special trainer this spring or summer for about a month to learn to be driven.

I did not equip with Shopsmiths in spite of the setups but because of them.

I had to Google HP to see what you were talking about. I had never heard of him. I have an old outhouse in the woods at our lake place. Hasn't been used for probably 50 years. Maybe it's time to think about putting it to use.
I was brainstorming a bit & think I've got it. I'll find a used ATV & lengthen the chassis, and mount the outhouse horizontally, door side up (to facilitate loading). I'll put a trap door on the bottom & a dump mechanism on the ATV.
That way, if I have a lot of crap to haul around, I've got the right vehicle.
My dad's 1951 10er, 2 more 10er's, same vintage, a Goldie MK5, a 510 shortie with 34inch tubes, bandsaw, jointer, jigsaw, belt sander, a ton of small SS goodies and still looking...you just can't have enough Shopsmith stuff
