I have a version of this that either mounts on the main table or on an extension table as yours is done. It also has the ability to mount various other things like grinders, buffers, heck almost anything in the bench size tools range.

One of the Mark VII units that I parted out a while back was used to clean geese that the guy's dad had shot while hunting. I know he used the vacuum part, and perhaps he spun it on the lathe as well. I would have thought it was BS, but the feathers I found throughout the machine made it clear that the story was true
