The we want a paper catalog movement

Post by reible »

I don't know how many of you feel about this but I know at least Dusty and I miss have a paper catalogs to look at.

My old ones are falling apart, taped up covers and such, while still readable they are due for a major overhaul. Did I mention that do I enjoy looking at them over and over? But really, the time has come to have some new printed materials from Shopsmith, and by that I mean a new catalog.

Perhaps we need to start a movement, when you call in an order ask for a catalog, when they say they don't have one you then put in a plug for one. After they hear this a few thousand times maybe they will get the point and then well dare we hope for a new catalog??

If you still order by mail then add a catalog to your list.

Online orders, not sure how to do that? Anyone?

At the demos ask about a catalog, give them the sign that this is a movement and we want a new paper catalog!!!!

So anyone else interested in starting a movement? Yes today it may only be me, but tomorrow it could be just 5 of us, then 10, my mid Feb it could be a 100, by June a 1000.

We could even do a "write a letter" campaign!

I would even promise to order something from the catalog for say, at least $30 (which should cover the cost of my catalog) within a month after arrival.

Maybe some of you locals could paint up some signs and walk a protest line by the shopsmith building?

Take an ad out in the local paper?

Who is with me?

Willing to pay up to $5 for an old fashioned paper catalog of Shopsmith support parts. Totally hate trying to find this stuff on the net. So count me in.

Ditto! I have mis-placed mine!:( 48 sheets if ya print on both sides. Then there are the cover sheets.

FWIW the 'online PDF' appears to be the same as my last Father's day version.

Even the online catalog is out of date. I'm willing to pay to get an up to date one. Hell, I spend enough $$ on our company. Count me in!
