How aggressive are the gators? If they see you will they take chase or do you have to provoke them first?

I would be afraid to go outside at all if I had them in my yard.

The gators are not agressive as a general rule. There is a law in Florida that prohibits anyone from feeding them. They have an instinctive fear of man and this guy dove right back in the pond as soon as he spotted me and my son approaching. If people feed them they will approach people thinking they will get fed, hence the rule.
