Did someone say, "trains"?
Howdy folks,
Trains are in fact my other passion, but I would sell neither for the other, LOL. A project I have for our train club (http://www.twmrc.org) is to build a set of passenger step stools as used by the railroads in passenger cars. We have many open house events and the little folks can't quite see over the edge of the benchwork. The idea is to make a portable stool that can easily be slid under the layout.
Attached are several photos that provide the inspiration. I need to get some basic measurements started next, then draw the plans.
Best,
mike

Model Railroader has the plans to build your step. It was published in 1994 (I think). PM me if interested.

That is something I never seem to do. Whenever the club sets up we just put our modules together and no one ever seems to think about bringing a camera to take photos. It know it's hard to believe, but that's what happens. However, I'd be more than happy to take a pictures of my home N scale layout and post them for you!camerio wrote:Always like a picture.

I like N scale and considered it but then I would have to wear my glasses all of the time to work on it.
