Mark 7 Headstock Cover

Post by backhertz »

As I recall, Shopsmith came out with a special headstock cover for the 50th anniversary edition Shopsmith. I didn't get one, but I wonder what if anything people think about a new Shopshop headstock cover plate that says Shopsmith Mark 7 to recognize the giant step in Shopsmith technology and to help those of us who shelled out for the Power Pro and the double tilt base upgrade. It's just a thought and I figure it wouldn't cost much and would sort of be something that we could look at and say to ourselves, "The were we thinking?" <Smile> or to show our spousal units that we have something very special that not many Shopsmith owners have considering it is an expensive proposition.

It's just a thought.

I have been wondering when this subject would come up. I confess when the last portions of that upgrade arrived with no sticker or name badge to recognize the upgrade. Jim

Depending on your budget you could certainly do one yourself. You could design something and get it machined for you on a CNC setup, or even do one yourself out of wood ;)
