I like to post good deals when I see them.
If someone can get a Shopsmith band saw for 85.00 it may generate some sales for the company in parts and accessories.

Hope someone is close enough to take advantage of this deal.

I live about 1 1/2 hrs from there. But considering the traffic, the 1 1/2 hrs can stretch endlessly during the week. Would have to go early Sat morn....but I have a bandsaw. I'll see if my friend wants a crack.

Thanks for the heads up henecle. I just sent them an e-mail to see if the band saw was still available.

For 85$, I'd be thinking real hard about going for it. BUT I don't know how far you would have to drive nor do I know the cost of fuel there. Diesel is $4.38 a gallon here and I get 15 miles per gallon.

It would not take much to turn a good deal into sour grapes.

Unfortunately, I never received a response from the seller. The following Monday when I checked, the listing was gone. I'm guessing it was snagged up quickly by somebody and they pulled the add.

It would have worked out well for me. I live in Westminster but I work here in Annapolis all week. Not a hug problem though. Since, I already have a bandsaw it wasn't a heart breaker. I was just thinking if I should happen to come across one at great price, it wouldn't hurt to have a second bandsaw as a dedicated resawing station.
