tips and advice needed. I am familiar with the operation of this machine as I grew up on it, but I never did maintenance.
I plan on oiling it up tomorrow but it says "use a lightweight oil", can anyone be more specific as to what to use exactly?
Other than oiling it up what else should I check out. I was the last one to use it, about 2.5 years ago.
Shopsmith Mark V plus bandsaw add-on and many many more accessories.
Advice and tips appreciated, thanks and DAMN I am so excited to get to work on some projects.

My thoughts are to clean it up and lube it first. Read here for some more info.

excellent information, I watched the video of session 11 on oiling, waxing etc... however it didn't give specifics on the sillicant spray they used to on the gears inside. Could someone enlighten me on an approved brand to shop for?
for oil I will buy the #10 machine oil, I also need a wire brush and will go for that Johnson's Original Paste Wax,
