Dusty's right
I agree with Dusty. Regardless of what my old, possibly somewhat color-blind eyes tell me, is SHUR IS PURTY!!!
'55 Greenie #292284 (Mar-55), '89 SS 510 #020989, Mark VII #408551 (sold 10/14/12), SS Band Saw, (SS 500 #36063 (May-79) now gone to son-in-law as of 11-11), Magna bandsaw, Magna jointer 16185 (May-54), Magna belt sander SS28712 (Dec-82), Magna jigsaw SS4397 (Dec-78), SS biscuit joiner, Zyliss (knockoff) vise, 20+ hand planes, 60s Craftsman tablesaw, CarbaTec mini-lathe, and the usual pile of tools. Hermit of the Hills Woodworks, a hillbilly in the foothills of the Ozarks, scraping by.

Yes this has been far too much about way too little.
Interesting that the color closest('purple lettering superimposed on the cabinet door that is barely visible due to that color closeness) is a 'darker' version of magenta. i.e. Equal red and blue with NO green.
So dark magenta it tis!

This is one of the great things about the Shopsmith forums we take a thread where a guy shows us a really nice project and turn the whole discussion into a nearly useless discussion on color.
I wish people would just stop and think if you have a question that is off topic of the thread go ahead and ask it but do it in a new thread. Opening a thread is as easy as replying to an already existing thread.

That is why I believe EVERY POST should be required to have a title.
At least when we jump off topic we would know.
But what is happening here right now is just exactly how it happens. Ed, you just did it as JPG has so subtly pointed out.

The post titles don't even register with me, Dusty. My eyes completely ignore them and go directly to the message content.
I don't think it's worth getting upset when a thread is derailed. It makes it feel more like human interaction to me. Conversations quickly move from topic to topic and get far away from the original all the time. That's just how humans interact and converse.

I agree! The titles really do not do much for us except when searching. Getting off topic has become a way of life here.heathicus wrote:The post titles don't even register with me, Dusty. My eyes completely ignore them and go directly to the message content.

Your lack of response had me worried for a day!
Off subject is a nit compared to altering apparent intent after the fact.

You see there is no such intent implied between sentence one and sentence two. Tain't fair to change context a day later.
