Here's a deal

Wish I was close enough to pick up this baby. Maybe someone here can jump on this.

And, this is a good deal, too.

Whether either is a good deal depends upon what reserve price has been set by the sellers as both are reserve price auctions.

Besides the unknown reserve price, what you see is what you get. It seems that he's selling the other standard bits separately. Ehh.

Is reserved price meaning a bare minimum price? They are both at a better price than what I paid for mine. Planning to upgrade at least one of my 500's to a 520 or Mk7 with the powerpro headstock. :D

Oh, the one with the sheet in the background appears to be the same unit that was listed last fall with bid start price of $699.

Quoted from Ebay, "A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price."

So for the current bid of $306 which has not met the reserve price on item 200712938372, which the seller claims to be a 500 510 Woodworking system, you get an incomplete unit. As wiredone noted, the seller has a lot of the pieces that should be with the basic unit in other auctions. For all we know the reserve price could be $500 or more on this item.

It is a deal right now but the Fat Lady hasn't yet sang. The last few seconds will tell the tell.

Thanks. eBay has upgraded its wording in the last year or more. It used to be difficult to understand when I purchased one locally and read that information. But, this is understandable. Thanks for the clarification. Went and looked it up, too. I understand the rationale, but I really don't like hidden costs. I prefer being up front and straight forward to eliminate as much confusion as possible.

So, I retract my statement about them being a good deal.

As long as you remove the table you can use the 510 lower guard just fine on the model 500 for sanding. I have done it just fine.
