I have one, and I am not going to do anything with it right away. I got it free, and I kept the motor and a jacobs chuck that was on it. I don't think the motor is original, but I might be wrong. The quill spring is broken I think. If you need anything let me know and I will give it to you for shipping. There is nothing but the basic frame, head stock and table. I will probably take it apart and try to see if anyone on E-bay wants anything, and then just scrap it out. It is not in real good shape. I thought about making a drill press out of it, but I changed my mind after seeing the way its set up. I think a change over would be very quick and easy compared to setting this thing up! PM me if you want something, I will see if I have it.

I have a wagon and always desired an Edsel. As a teenager an Edsel dealership a few blocks from home was a fun place to visit and dream. Funny it wasn't open very long. Good luck with the new toy. Jim

Yikes! what a piece of Crapola. (compared to Mark 5 or a 10E/ER)
It's no wonder it was so much cheaper. It's got alot of interesting leftovers from the 10ER, combined with the chintzy construction of aluminum and very lightweight sheetmetal.
I still think that once mounted on my extra Mark5 shortened stand, it will make a good sanding station.

Are the way tubes the same spacing, od as the m5? If so a m5 carriage/table would make a good 'improvement'.

Headstock looks like CI.

GEE! I wonder why I thought it was produced between the 10ER and the M5.

Found out I was wrong!;)

I think a sanding station will work. 6x48(left) + 12"(quill)?

In the photos posted above, the bench tubes are metal. On the one that I have the bench " tubes" are wood. The are about 2X4 dimensions. The photo on the SS site, denying any support for the M2, seems to have these wooden tubes. Were there two types, or are there two different machines called M2. Much of what I can see in these photos looks like what I have. Is one made for wards the wooden one?
