Raised panels

somewhere I remember a video of using the Shopsmith saw function for doing raised panels. I can't seem to find it now. Anyone have a link?

I've done mine the same way shown in the bottom photo in the above linked page of PTWFE, but - my first cuts were 4ea. 1/8" cuts into the face of the panel. These cuts should be at the height of the intended slope. Then when sawing the slopes, raised the blade just high enough to barely touch those kerfs. This gives a flat face to the top of the taper instead of a sloped one.

Also leave enough thickness at the bottom of the slope to allow making another cut making a flat tenon to fit the stiles and rails.
