Shopsmith price Increases

As Gary said in his post, this will affect all goods and services. Expect to pay more at the cash register. Transportation costs will be passed on to the consumer as part of the markup in the price of the goods. Even the concept of "free shipping" will become a thing of the past with gas prices trending the way they are at present.

I have always believed "people vote their wallet". If they believe they are better off than they were four (or even two) years ago, they'll vote in incumbents; if voters don't believe they are better off, they will vote to change. However, here is something to consider: what about change at the state level? I seems to me that state governments also deserve to be "reexamined" when the time comes in November.

How do we know if we are going to be better off. Nancy Pelosi informed us that we have to wait and see before we'll know. I think this approach is dangerous and is more prevalent than we might think.

Bringing oil down from Canada sounds like a good idea but it will be ONLY if it does something to reduce the fuel crisis (lower prices). It won't do that if it leaves the refinery headed for a New Orleans port.

Look at what is happening in Montana and North Dakota where the oil is not located on Government controlled oil fields. By the way, unemployment is down but rent has skyrocketed. As are many other service related costs.

That is not what I meant. If voters believe they are better off economically than they were since the last election(s) they will not vote for change. If they believe they are not better off than they will vote the other way. I know I am going to be changing my votes later this year.

Who really thinks we are better off now than we were four (4) years ago.
