Stand mount scroll saw question

Stand mount scroll saw question
I've got an aqua colored stand mount scroll saw that I am attempting to replace the drive belt on. I got the instructions from customer service and after removing the weight and shaft assembly I pulled the driven pulley (#108) and pulley spacer (#113) out. With these a spring washer fell out also. I can't find this in the exploded view and need to know where in the three piece assembly this spring washer goes. Does this washer go between the spacer and the driven pulley or between the pulley and the bearing or between the spacer and the other bearing? I don't understand why this spring washer isn't shown in the exploded view? Can anyone help? Thank you in advance!

So far, NO. I can not tell where there might be a spring washer in that set up.

I do not see it in the exploded view either. Looking at my saw's driven shaft from the outboard looking in: retaining clip, bearing, spacer, and then bearing. Did you also remove the inboard bearing for the driven pulley shaft?arthurc wrote:I've got an aqua colored stand mount scroll saw that I am attempting to replace the drive belt on. _No, I didn't remove either of the bearings. I just pulled the shaft out and then looked to see what to do next as far as getting the driven pulley out to facilitate putting the new belt around it. Once the shaft is out the only thing holding the pulley and spacer in is spring pressure from this washer. I just don't know where the washer goes in the assembly._________________

I realize this in not the same as the version you have, but the manual for this version(gray both stand and mV mount) does not show washers between the bearings and the inner bearing bore either.

I do not recall if the drive shaft also had a washer.

Thank you all for your interest. I just thought that someone out there must have this model scroll saw and had to replace the belt at some time. While I do believe that the gray model and the blue one are fundamentally the same there must be differences of some kind. I'll keep trying to find the answers to these questions from someone who's been there done that. Thanks again!

Relevant differences are the input shaft (shorter and includes a pulley), internal motor, stand etc.
Waiting for been there, done that may take a while!;)
If you really want to become frustrated, call CS. With some luck(1 out of 3) you will get 'him'.
