I got one a couple of days ago. It was a big surprise. the first snail mail I have received for Shopsmith in years.

I wish they would not put so much tape on it or use something you could peel off.

Too much tape? Use your pocket knife!

Yes I can cut the tape, but some times I want to keep the mailing and the cut ends of the tape stick to everything. It's annoying.

Just don't try to pull the tape off. It sticks real well to the surface area.

You can rid yourself of the annoyance though by either trimming the tape with a sharp knife and straight edge:) OR deposit the catalog in the trash:rolleyes:.

I just solicited input from my wife. She immediately proclaimed that I should have used a sharp tool rather than my finger to rip into the catalog. It is too late for me to try that but maybe the next time.

I'm just thankful I got the catalog. Now I gotta go trim off that annoying tape. I do save all my Shopsmith catalogs.

I hope that while you were talking to them you made sure you were on their email list and that your mailing address coincides with your username (as Shopsmith knows it).

If there are any discrepancies in that data, there can be problems arise as a direct result.

Another Example of Someone at Shopsmith Listening

Post by algale »

Guess what? After griping earlier about how I had stopped getting Shopsmith's email specials, I got one today!! Perhaps Big Brother is listening to us!

I believe Shopsmith will be coming out with an SPT that will make removing advertising flyer tape quicker and easier. Only $350 and setup under 3 minutes.
