Mark V 500 pinion lock

Post by tonyc »

I have a Mark V i purchased in the mid-80s. When we moved the last time it was partly disassembled. Somehow I have lost the pinion lock for the table carriage assembly. It is apparently no longer manufactured. According to customer service, my only option with them is to upgrade to new table for $800. Any thoughts on alternatives? Thanks for any help you can give me.

E-bay! There are several 500 carriages listed. They all should include the lock. Even the greenie one(the carriage, not the background)!

The unavailability of '500' specific parts does not bode well! SS getting to become less supportive of older models!:(

Maybe someone here has a 'spare'. I looked, but do not have one!
