I don't know. I don't make the rules. I just try to follow them as I understand them.

Yes. It is but it is not ready yet. I just follow the rules here. When I get called to eat, I go eat. I have not yet been called.

For the Balsamic BBQ sauce:
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worchestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
For the chicken or steak:
  • 4 pieces chicken (any combination of breast or leg-and-thigh pieces) or 4 pieces of New York strip or Club strip steak
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
For the BBQ sauce:

Directions

Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and stir until all the ingredients are incorporated and the mixture is smooth. Simmer over medium heat until reduced by 1/3, about 15 to 20 minutes.

OK sir, I used your recipe and added some poulty season and some montreal steak seasoning. Marinnated for 3-4 hours and grilled. My wife loved it and actually so did I. You are the chicken dinner winner! :D
I will get some wood chips fro next time and try putting a little smoke to thta recipe as well.
Thanks again!

I am glad that you liked it. It is simple but I thought good and you just might have made it better. I'll try the additions without telling anyone just to test the reactions. If I feed the grandson's though, they are no barometer at all. They eat anything set before them on a plate. You sorta know that they like it if they raid the grill before the meal is declared ready. I have learned - do not leave steak unattended.
