JPG, can you or someone else explain the chart? There are areas that are confusing to me.

1. I don't understand the numbers after the letters in the "HARD" and "SOFT" columns (like "R 36", "F 12"). What do those numbers mean?

2. What are all the labels in the middle of the chart? RPM, SET, 10E, RPM, SR, SS, SS, PS, PULL, SR, 10E, MVII

1) Hard and Soft refer to the wood type Pine is soft oak is hard. R 36 says for that operation(6"dado and hard wood) set to speed dial setting R which is 3600 rpm.

2) Under RPM, 'SR' and 'SS' refer to speed reducer and shopsmith rpm.
Under SET, the letters under SS refer to ss speed dial settings, and the numbers under PS refer to the power station speed control setting.
Under 10E the PULL column refers to the three belt positions on the 3 step pulleys, and under SR, the column refers to the 10E speed control which has 6 settings(0 to 5) in each of two ranges(Lo and Hi).
Under RPM to the right lists the 10E rpm and the MVII column is the Mark VII speed control settings. The Mark VII does not have the 'letters', but has the values listed on the dial.

All the rpm values are consistent across the page for all the RPM columns.

The operation charts do differ slightly since the rpm values were taken from different charts and they are inconstant and are rounded to nearest 100 for this chart.

Yes it is a busy chart and is more than is needed if one only has one of these models, but serves as a cross reference between the settings on those different models.

I tried to get it all in one chart for all models.

definitely not the money, just a case of principle!

"No Principles " I placed a new 300 order today------ I get on free!
it just made me mad that I paid for a power pro head did not get any thing free now pay 300 and I get 11$ speed chart free. The math is not there! ONE OF THOSE DAYS

Life is full of both opportunities and lack thereof.

I just cannot consider as principle that a business should know when I am about to purchase something and magically make sure I do so at the most opportune time.

Sales and specials come and go. Sometimes I get lucky, sometimes I just miss. Either way it is not the 'vendors' fault and is not a reason for pouting. Disappointment is ok but that is all.
