Mark VII going up on the auction block next Saturday

Post by dforeman »

I saw this Mark VII listed on Auctionzip. The emblem looks unfamiliar though. Is this really a Shopsmith?

Yep, regular SS Mark VII... The emblem is the regular Mark VII emblem. They also have one in each end of the way-tube / bench-tube assembly. 3-D looking under clear plastic, not a decal or painted metal.
I see that it has a homemade caster set on it. It may need to be sat on a couple of blocks to keep it from rolling.
Looks clean.
It has also had hinges and a hasp added to the DC bag box at the bottom.

Ok. I wasn't sure because it didn't look like the same Shopsmith symbol used on the Mark V (also shown at the top of this page). Plus, I didn't know that Shopsmith had a built in DC in the Mark VII.

Anyhoo. If anybody is looking for a Mark VII and is in the area. Sometimes you can get good deals at auctions and sometimes not. It just depends on the crowd and the buyers mood that day.
