I just noticed that the Shopsmith Emblem is blue instead of red as seen at the top of the forum page. I saw another version of the emblem on a unit coming up at an auction this week also. Did Shopsmith experiment with some different versions?

Just my take...I'd be concerned. Why would any body need to get into the head stock case as often as the scratches around the access emblem would indicate?

If it were used in a production environment, every 10 hours is likely a couple times a week or more. If so those scratches would be a GOOD sign! ;)

Keep us posted Terry.
I'm curious about the rip fence and rails.
Looks like a 510 table but the pictures are hard to decipher.

I am wondering if the table and fence is off of an old Craftsman saw.
