Remember a while back when I went looking for an owl and ended up only finding an Eagle?
Well the last couple of weeks I've photographed two different Barred Owls. These are the pictures I shared with the grand-kids after an Easter Sundays outing. We do a can you find the __________? Since the age range is from almost a year to 14 it is sometime too easy or too hard but it is something to share.
So have a go at it yourself if you wish or just enjoy them, no prizes either way. With these sized down so far I really would be surprised if anyone can pick it out in the first picture.

Most of you should have no problem in this shot.

If you can't see it here you probably have no idea what an owl is or you misplaced your glasses.

Excellent photo Ed! Your photography skills are every bit as fine tuned as your woodworking.
After viewing you tow enlargements several times I am able to pick out the place where the owl is perched. However can only imagine the particular bright spot is, in fact, the bird.

Eagle
Walking my dog this morning, saw this juvenile eagle resting on a pole in the water. I'm in Crescent Beach, and the water is the Nicomekl River emptying into Mud Bay, which is a part of Boundary Bay between Washington State and British Columbia. Can't get much further west on the mainland. Behind the fog in the distance is Point Roberts, Wa., although you have to go through B.C. to get to it. After a few minutes, the eagle opened a pair of GIGANTIC wings and flew off. Lovely way to start the day!
