Shopsmith Fix Your Order Rant

Post by dusty »

The system test has been completed very successfully. I got the three items added with no difficulty at all while having a cheerful conversation with Dave in Customer Service.:)

It is almost always a pleasure to do business with Shopsmith.:)

Furthermore, I checked the online status (shopsmith.com/order status) almost immediately after hanging up the phone and found the added items already recorded there. What more could I ask?:)

What does it mean when the status on your order reads "In-Process"?

My order status changed to "In-Process" the day after I added the three items but it hasn't changed since.

"In process" might mean the order and changes are sitting on Dave's desk while he makes his weekend plans... or maybe it is like processed hotdogs--they are grinding it out... :p

Now, now. Let's be nice. There is absolutely no indication that the ladies are not involved with my order.

saturday report

Post by oldc6 »

In my earlier post i stated that it had changed to (authorization).. I checked about noon the same day and it again showed (in process)...

It has stayed the same all week and still today.. So, dont know what it all means but, would be nice if it would show an approximate time it would be off of backorder.. ( that is the assumption i have that in process means it is
on backorder).......

I would hope not simply because I spoke with CS and if my order was in BO status I would think they would tell me that. If it doesn't change by mid week - I'll call.

Being on backorder will cause no pain at all but I want to know if it is.

It apparently is not in BO status. The online status, this morning, is "Being Shipped". Imagine that, it changed status over the weekend.

Nine days after being placed on order and without going on Back Order, my parts have been "Shipped". At least that is what the status now is - "Shipped".

The carrier doesn't acknowledge that yet.

Oh well. I should have known not to be so positive. My order shipped OK, at least part of it. I don't have a tracking # yet but it appears that the order has been split. Some of it will ship and some will not.

Most of the order is repair parts that will not be employed until something breaks so they could have held it all except that now they can charge my Visa.

Now I am curious to see what went on BO.
