Quill Twister tool

Post by k8tp »

This has to be the silliest thing SS has ever offered. $18.49 for a piece of plastic that probably costs them 18 cents to make. C'mon. Kinda reminds me of the $100 automatic winder for self-winding wristwatches - an expensive solution to a non-problem.

I agree - it seems like a problem that doesnt really exist and was "created" by poor engineering on the hub cover.

I just got the hub cover and only recently though about this problem, I was considering ordering one because I realized I might run into this issue and did not find the cost outrageous, expecially when purchased with an extra coupler. I would replace my coupler with a new one and use my old one with this handle.

But before I run into that issue I need to figure out the screws needed to hold the hub cover on my PowerPro, because contrary to what I was told my 1980's belt cover does not have the holes necessary to mount the hub cover and the screws did not come in the package.
