Sure you can use any screw that will do the job but if you want to keep your SS in original mode you must use the exact screws SS normally uses here.
Any one in original car restoration can appreciate this.

The poor guy has a PowerPro that should have come with a manual. All the poor guy had to do was look in his manual. If any of you need a pictuire to know what a flat washer, screw or nut looks like - you don't now. Just go to the Amazon links.

He was down to begging for help that no one else was giving him. I just thought I would give it one last try.

The screws, flat washers and spring nuts are detailed as separate items in the illustrated parts list. You bought a part that is also detailed separately therefore, the screws, flat washers and nuts were not missing from your order. You did not order them.

I did call and email, today I finally spoke to someone and they said it was a 1/4" 20 TPI x 5/8" button head screw. That did not make any sense to me unless the belt cover is threaded (which mine is not), there is no reference to any nuts and I have never heard of a 1/4" 20 self-taping screw.

As for the manual, you do not get one when you do the DIY upgrade and the information provide with the Shaft Guard is useless unless you are replacing a broken guard.
