Stop Collar on sale

Just discovered the email notice "Get Micro-Adjustment Convenience and Ensured Repeatability with Shopsmith's Adjustable Stop Collar until 11:59pm May 10". If you don't have one, they are a great investment.

Love mine. Bought it from SS last year. It's great when making something like picture frames. And, I never see one of these for sale on auction sites.

I appreciate the adjustable stop collar and for certain prjects it is worth every cent one pays for it. However, I have taken the one I had installed on the main table off.

It gets in the way for too many of my vertical drill press operations. It is easier to stop whatever I might be doing to install the stop-collar when I know I am going to need it.

I do not have one(yet) but see that as my modus-operandi as well(yes I had previously thought that - it being in the way is a reason for my not having one(yet)).

However with my crank wheel alteration to the M5, the crank prevents the table from being adjusted fully into the way tubes anyway.

So how 'thick' is it when 'squeezed' fully)?

I personally waited and waited for shopsmith to come up with this. I wasted no time once it was introduced, I put my money down and got one. This was a key component that was missing from the system, sure you could use non-adjustable stop collars and or measuring, PVC pipe cut to length(s), or what ever, but the ability to dial in a change makes your shopsmith a much better tool.

ORDER one if you don't have one!

By way of reference the stop collar does not have to be between the carriage and the table, it works fine on the end of the leg, and sometimes better, it all depends on what you are doing.
