Sounds too good to be true. All brand new? Is it all out of the boxes? Hopefully it's all legit. However, with the scams going on I wouldn't take that kind of cash with me on the first visit. But then, I've won the National Skeptic Award for the last two years in a row.
Mixed feelings is watching your mother in law driving off a cliff in your new Rolls Royce.

Not if you live in Indiana and are running shy on spendable money.
Otherwise it would make a nice road-trip.
Look at it thinking about what you might already have out of the mix, figure (honestly) how much you could expect to sell what you have on hand and subtract that from the $4500 and see what you come up with... Understanding that you would now have all new stuff.
Is SWMBO approachable on such matters without risk of personal injury?

It does sound to good to be true.
The only senario I can conjor up is that somebody bought the thing on credit and now they can't make the payments. So, they are offereing it up for what they owe on it in order to save what is left of their credit rating and/or get out from under the payments. I've seen this very same senario happen with tractors and other farm equipment a few times.

Another thing that happens is some old geezer (like me
) buys stuff ahead for retirement while they have the money and then croaks before using it. 
I know guys that collect old tractors that have several that they have bought still sitting at various places around the country that they have not even gotten home yet (this isn't me).
I do have a big line of "projects" sitting here waiting on me to get to them though. I wouldn't want to run out of something to do...

Maybe a surviving spouse who doesn't know the true value of what is being offered?
