Remember not to quote any suspected spammer posts that contain links.

When Admin deletes the posts , the embedded link will still appear in the quoted post.

I don't know why but I doubt that this is a spammer. I believe he is just an individual unfamiliar with the marketing restrictions of this site who needs to sell off his shop equipment.

Maybe I am just soft but I am rapidly getting to the point where I may be in the same boat. I feel for him.

Dusty, I think Judaspre1982 was referring to Alessandro as the spammer. I think he is someone who English isn't his first language and he losing a bit in the translation - in both directions. He isn't exactly following the direction of the conversation very well.

*update - not so sure, now I see a second link to the shutter site from this individual*

As for the original poster Craigslist and EBay. Some say selling in the parts will get you more. So if you have things that are not standard equipment like the bandsaw, jointer, dust collector you may get more. However, the opposite could be said if you have a lot. Some items are hard to come by cheaply and may encourage someone looking to complete their collection.

If searchtempest.com ever gets it figured out - Craigslist updated recently, you can search Craigslist listings within a specified mile range.

I sent a pm to admin yesterday identifying 'him' as either a juvenile or english challenged possible spammer.

Both were online at the time. I then added him to my ignore list.

If he is still 'around', then I assume admin either has not 'discovered' him or decided he ain't spamming.

I assume the sell off issue came up after my ignoring him.

Earlier comments were quite trite and asinine IMHO.

Why do I have this sense that user id is 'familiar'(and the comments as well)?
