What Can I Not Do?
On a day to day basis, I can do almost everything that I have ever done only slower. However, today is going to be different.
Today, all that I am allowed to consume are clear liquids. Not being allowed to eat is going to be shear punishment. My food train was cut off last night at 6:00pm and will not be back on track until sometime tomorrow morning.
I am scheduled for my second colonoscopy at 8:00am tomorrow. It is suppose to be a half hour procedure. Piece of cake. It is the 38 hours leading up to it that is torture.

I was dreading my first one last year but we got to take the pills instead of drinking the gunk (do stay within 10 steps of the bathroom
The only downside for me was that while I was under I dreamed about the episode of Two and a Half Men where Alan was getting a colonoscopy and Berta was using a big plumbers-snake on the kitchen sink...
Good luck, have fun.

Several years ago, Carl Hiasson, a very funny writer, wrote a short column after having gone through his first colonoscopy. In it he talked about the preparation and about "Go Lightly", the gallon of salt-water flavored water that you had to drink completely (and fairly quickly). After finishing it, he wrote of the results saying something to the effect that "we (the United States) have to be very sure that the Russians never got hold of this stuff or they could take over the world." There are many of us that can verify the truth of this. Have fun tomorrow.

Hope everything comes out OK.
Had my 4th one last week.
Gotta talk to the Dr. about those pills. 3 liters of salt water, no matter the flavoring added, is awful.
Mine was at 06:30. By 09:30 I was sitting down at my favorite diner for biscuits and gravy, two eggs and a slice of cheesecake.
Here's hoping for a good report for you, Dusty. And, ENJOY that first meal!

Take the gallon of liquid prep and a good book into the bathroom. Set up a plastic patio chair in the shower and start drinking. Hopefully you will make it to the toilet in time, but if not, cleanup becomes much easier.
This too shall pass.

Don't know about the pills but that metal tasting water was terrible and instant reactions. Not looking forward to a next time.
