If I was close enough to inspect it, I'd being trying really hard to go get it....and then begin an effort to pay for it by selling what I already have.

The ad reads Mark V, not Mark VII.

It reads as follows:"New Shop Smith V11 Powerpro out of box but never used Paid over $8700.00."

I am not familiar with the "V11", but possibly they meant VII. The Powerpro reference is what tingles my curiosity.

Man, I thought we were talking about the craigslist ad referenced in post 1 of this thread. But the way threads are so often hijacked and run all over the map, my response may have been off topic.;) Then I went back and looked at the ad for the third time, refreshed the screen and, voila, it turned into a Mark V.:p

The ad must have been edited because any reference to it being a VII or a PowerPro is gone.

They created a life tine of confusion by using Mark 7 as the nomenclature to follow on after a Mark V. Especially when there is a Mark 5 and a Mark V and a Mark VII. Then, chronologically, the Mark VII is the older of them all - not the newest.

Mark 7 PowerPro - Shopsmith needs to do a market blitz to clear up the confusion.
