What Can I Not Do?
Moderator: admin
Hey Dusty, Glad things turned out well. I just had my "Area 51" exam a few weeks ago. I had put it off for a few years but then a friend of a friend went in and although he is only in his early 40's they found some serious issues of which he is doing Chemo for now. That got me off my duff and into the Doc. They found one small polyp and I am on the 5 year plan. I really hope they have the pills for me next time. The last glass of that stuff almost came right back up:( If I would have known I was going to be around this long I would have got the extended warranty:D

Instead of what you drank get Miramax the next time. It is not all that distasteful. You can mix it with any clear liquid. I used white grape juice.2bits wrote:Hey Dusty, Glad things turned out well. Thanks for the Mirimax tip, Dusty.
The Doc called yesterday. He had told me right after the procedure that I was on 5 year plan. After the polyps were analyzed, he revised it to a 3 year plan.

I do hope it is merely precautionary!:)
BTW Gatorade is a good 'flavor enhancer', but do avoid blue/purple(red too???) colored flavors(it colors the colon as well as the drink!).
I liked the lemon/lime.
FWIW The quicker it is ingested, the quicker it exits, and the quicker it stops!:D
Now if ya do not like this method, there is fleet enemas or eating soap!
Or does the soap work from the opposite direction?

Yes, gatoraide was another suggested liquid with which to mix Miramax, as was 7-up, ginger-ale and cranberry juice. I chose the white grape juice.JPG40504 wrote:I do hope it is merely precautionary!:)

I was also given a schedule to follow for the consumption of that mixture. It was a two hour schedule beginning at noon and then again at 5:00pm.
I will attempt to set that whole schedule back three or four hours so that I can get some sleep the next time.

Maybe a 'seat belt' for the throne would allow you to multi-task and allow simultaneous sleeping!:Ddusty wrote:Yes, gatoraide was another suggested liquid with which to mix Miramax, as was 7-up, ginger-ale and cranberry juice. I chose the white grape juice.

I have one (throne that is) that you sorta have to back into because it is so small. That one works well if you think you are going to need to sleep. You can fall only one direction.JPG40504 wrote:Maybe a 'seat belt' for the throne would allow you to multi-task and allow simultaneous sleeping!:D
This is one case where pictures are not forthcoming.

When a tornado hit our mini-farm in the next county a few years ago a friend and neighbor who has a woodshop in an old mill building bordering us had placed an outhouse on a back corner of his lot for emergency use (and as a piece of history). After the tornado passed the outhouse was left back over the old mill race in the trees. It was still in a vertical position but totally upside down. His wife kept telling everybody that she had been trying to use it for 2 days but that she kept falling off of the seat.

I will continue to vote for the pills... "If" they are still using them 9 years from now...
IIRC we were on an about 24 hour schedule for the whole thing.
Yes, avoid all colored foodstuffs (especially red). We were able to have stuff like clear soup etc.
Once they started that IV I was gone. Woke up feeling quite rested, got dressed and we went out for lunch on the way home.
