Wixie
I just ordered a Wixie Digital Angle Gauge I saw it used on one of the sawdust sessions.
I'll let you know how I like it.. I only ordered it because I was able to Download the Manual
and read up first. That's a great way to shop.

they want more then that for them on eBay
If I like it I may buy the protractor for my miter saws

Yes, I use mine a lot. At least once every time I start a project and every time I move equipment. I use it occasionally just to check the miter gauges. I use it if I change table tilt (which I do quit a bit). I use it when I set up in drill press mode. Yes, I use it enough I keep extra batteries in the shop ... which reminds me I just changed batteries and need a spare. I use the
Miter Set a lot too.
Just thought I throw this in for thought. You can download manuals from the incra.com site, too.

Wixey and Miterset are two tools I can't imagine being without. They save so much time and frustration. I haven't learned any new cuss word combinations since acquiring them.

Beall Tilt Box II
I switched from the original Wixey to The Beall Tilt Box II for the additional capability of knowing where actual level is located. I find it helps me when making special jigs. I use the Beall more for metal working jigs than woodworking.

The digital angle gauge was my first Wixey item, have since bought an 8" digital protractor and planer height gauge; will likely get the 12" or 18" protractor in the near future. The protractor is used the most by far of the Wixeys. It's nice to know that your setup is within 1/10th of a degree, although that makes it tough to blame the tool for crooked cuts
.
Well it arrived I love it haven't had chance to use it just check it out but with so many thumbs up
so far well just call it a great tool to have.
It uses the same batteries that go in my led cap light I use for night fishing I buy them from eBay
in large lots.

Good. You are going to need them. My Wixie sorta eats batteries. Someone must be leaving it turned on.lightnin wrote:Well it arrived I love it haven't had chance to use it just check it out but with so many thumbs up

Just got the Woodcraft flyer and this will be on sale next month for $29.99. I almost bought it at Amazon when it dipped in price to $24.xx, but I waited a day because I needed to find a filler item to get free shipping. The next day it went to $39.99 and hasn't budged since.
I settled for the one Rockler had for $24.99 last month. Hope it is as good as the Wixey.

I do a lot of Segmented wood turning and precise angled cuts are a absolute must so I use a Wixie to double check my miter angles everytime I cut and also my table level when I sand joints - works great.
