I've long tired out of watching DIY home reno's and woodwork shows (other than Roy Underhill for entertainment and knowing I'll never sweat and work the hard way like him).

Don't want to sound sexist but there is a program on Velocity Channel called All Girls Garage. If you're into cars, these gal's have an excellent presentation of the task or job and they seem very knowledgeable. I'm sure there's much editing as expected but nothing seems phoney or glorified and the program moves along at a good pace. But I primarily like the way they work and as an example won't waste time telling how to cut sheetmetal or lay a weld bead... just a pointer or two. I don't need to see some guy telling how to change a drill in a chuck or how to apply glue or adhesive (I mean, c'mon now, you'd think TV producers know most viewers are way beyond that). I wouldn't mind seeing something like this for a woodworking show.

I reckon Shopsmith would be a good product for MLM, all agents being purchasers (and users) of new machines.

Wouldn't mind some 'project videos'. Watching a sheet of ply/mdf turn into a pair of loudspeakers or timber become a kitchen unit would be interesting.

I for one am thankful they don't demo Shopsmith at Costco. I buy way too much stuff there now. Just yesterday I went in for two small items and I purchased a Little Giant ladder leveler and a telescoping ladder plank. Wait a minute why did I do that, I'm not allowed to climb ladders anymore!? Oh yeah I remember now so the Kids can paint their houses this summer. Nope, best to keep Shopsmith demo's at Lowes. I seldom go into their stores. Jim
