I'm going to need to make my shopsmith stand/bench before I assemble the shopsmith.
To get the height/s I want right I'll need a measurement.
I borrowed mickeyd's picture to illustrate what I need.

No hurry I won't need it for at least two weeks.
½" tolerance is close enough.

Three days later I owned one...
One week later I was rebuilding one...
Four months later I owned two....
Ok Ok, I'm up to four now...
