The online version is but one of several renditions. What hardcopy version do you have?

There used to be a user on here as CV3, but haven't heard from him in awhile, no response to PM either. But, I'm going to try to post my email from Shopsmith.

Yes, I have two of those wonderful machines, both from the 1980's, have the user manuals.

Experience - table saw, band saw, router.

Hoping to get into turning some this summer. Have looked at my user manuals and the tools on this website (owners site), seen what I needed, shopped on eBay, CL and most times buy straight from Shopsmith. I know when I get it from the company, it's in new condition and ready. I will buy saw blades on eBay for less than 1/2 price. Bandsaw blades can often be found in blister packages for about 1/2 price. Shipping is about the same as from the company especially if they use the post office. Sometimes, you'll get charged more for shipping than it actually costs them.

The only reason I haven't volunteered to help you is that my wife is totally dependent on me as she has MS, Lupus and epilepsy, so I stay close to the house. However, I'll PM you with my email and phone number. I'll do what I can. Wish I could come over to help you. Would love to see you grow with this machine.

I understand. You take care of her. Maybe I could come over to P'cola and learn from you.

Hey, TTL, did you get to go to the demo at Lowe's? Or, are you going to get to go? I'm not going to get to go. Did you check your pm's? Looking forward to hearing from you.

I have a Shopsmith Mark V book (more than an owner's manual) published in 1984 that is in new condition except for some yellow highlighted sentences on maintenance, etc that I wanted to find easily as well as a couple of notes on bearing specs for replacement.

I bought this at a Shopsmith store in Anaheim because I couldn't find anything for my Mark VII and thought this would help. It did. Now the Mark VII is dead and body parts will be sold. I'm dismembering the poor lifeless creature this month. It died of old age not mistreatment.

If you want to buy this the price is $20 (less than what I paid for it) and about $4 for mailing. PM me if you are interested. Otherwise, it will be going up on eBay with a starting price of $20 plus shipping.

I can send you photos. I moved it from the original SS notebook to a larger one so I could add some stuff. If you want that also I will include it.

I watch craigslist all the time and I have picked up a few things on ebay. @SG I didn't get to go to the demo but I see they will be in Pensacola this weekend. I have since picked up a jointer, biscuit jointer, new saw guards, owners manual, and some more odds and ends. Now if my cypress would dry I could get to work.
