I know none of you guys are dumb/gullible enough to fall for this.
What a scum-bag! (just my opinion)
I know where he gets these from, do you?
Too short and WAAAAY to light a gauge of wire.
He says he used to "restore" 10ER units, anyone ever heard of him?

When did molded plugs come about? I also doubt those ring connectors came from that period too.

My point is that he's taking computer power cords (abundantly available) and lopping off the funky end that plugs into the computer and adding 3 ring terminals.
That wire is only 18 gauge and is a fire hazard with a 1/2 horsepower motor, and they're only 57" long!!
What a shyster!

To add to the 'list', those ring terminals are soldered.

It is not being described as OEM parts.

I don't deal on E-Bay because of this type of "sale". Can he be reported to E-Bay as perpertrating a fraud?

What is fraudulent about what he is doing? A scam, yes. But you get what is advertised, right. A power cord with ring connectors (can even be connected to a 10ER switch). He says they are leftover from when he was doing 10er rebuilds but he does not say they are 10er parts. BUYER BEWARE

I think before anyone buys on E-bay they should watch Jay Leno on the Tonight Show when he does one of his skits "What we found on E-Bay".

What is really interesting is the studio audiences response to the question did is Sale or not.

Last night some nut was selling Taco Bell sauce packages on E-Bay. These are the free packages Taco Bell gives you with your purchase.

The audience hollered Sold and Leno shook his head showing his shock in the their response and said these are free.

Well the audience was right, some boob bought the sauce packages for $5.50.

The most interesting part is in strictest sense of the law the buyer was probably buying stolen property. But I don't think anyone thought of it.

Some of the other things people buy and sell on the E-bay just make me laugh. I really giggle when I see people bid and pay shipping for something that is readily available either locally or on the internet but universally sells well below the price they paid.
